Things About You

Terms of Service

Last updated September 28, 2026

These terms apply when you use Things About You, operated by Jason Offet in Ontario, Canada ("we"). By creating an account or accepting notes, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.

The service

Senders write notes, and we deliver them one a day by email or text to a recipient they choose. Notes are booked in runs called flocks. Nothing is delivered until the recipient accepts an invitation, and recipients can pause or stop notes at any time.

Your account

You must be 18 or older to create a sender account. You sign in through Google, LinkedIn or Microsoft and are responsible for what happens under your account.

Your notes

You own what you write and the photos you add. You give us permission to store, review, copy and deliver them, only to provide the service. You confirm that you have the right to share them, and that you know the recipient and have their contact details legitimately.

What you can't send

We review notes before delivery and may hold or refuse any note. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and we report child sexual abuse material to the authorities.

Texts and emails

Recipients who get notes by text may be charged by their carrier for messages they send or receive. Replies and reactions to our texts are shown to the sender. Delivery depends on email providers and mobile carriers, so we can't guarantee that every note arrives at a particular time.

Payments

Some flocks are paid, as one-time bookings priced in Canadian dollars and processed by Stripe. Prices are shown before you pay. If something goes wrong with a booking, contact us at privacy@thingsaboutyou.co and we'll work it out with you. Nothing in these terms limits refund rights you have under the law.

Ending things

You can stop using Things About You at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, or if we stop offering the service. In that case we'll tell you, where we can.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the date at the top and email senders about significant changes. Continuing to use the service means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
